Of course, the most famous person ever to visit Paddington Station is called Paddington Bear. "A bear on Paddington Station?" said Mrs Brown in amazement. "Don't be silly -- there can't be." But there was! The bear from Darkest Peru was first met here at the station, and so he was named Paddington Bear. He lived with the Browns for quite some time, and had many adventures, which you can read about in his book. But that was a long time ago. I had no thought of meeting him there today. But what was this shop?
